Hmm... Two Big Muffs run in Parallel?

This thought was sparked by Thunderscreech's board.

Wouldn't running two in parallel be a lot more controllable/usable, while still creating a hole in the spacetime continuum thus causing the apocalypse?

Or should I put my brain to rest?

I've got a serious interest in running effects in parallel and running effects with some sort of crossover and a mixer.

Sounds expensive.

All my past ideas involve multiple pedals and countless mods or rehouses. All unnecessary because no one would care about my tone but me.

You could get a simple mixer and try it. I would imagine that two in parallel would be more controllable than two in series.

Keep thinking. It's good for you.

I think this would be a good place to ask. How exactly does one go about running two effects in parallel?

and

But that would be for fuzzing the lows and compressing the highs or something. A simpler solution would just be a box with one input and 2 outputs.

So if I took the Boss Flanger I have laying around, which has two outputs, and had run output run into my fuzz and the other run into, say, a phaser, and then both of those go back into my Memory Man with Hazarai, I'd get a parallel effect going on?

It is really simple, yes. You'll have to test it to find out if it works for you. I did and it worked. You can actually run a lot of efects in parallel. Allthough the signal is not getting better by splitting it up.

Tip: Use short, good cables of exactly the same length to prevent phase problems.
