| nope, seems fine - it's a little lower than the other two, so toe-tip tapping should be no problem . now i need to make my new pedalboard...

I remember the triangle was sharp enough to cut you.
Are you going to get all that under MIDI control sometime? I don't even recall what controller you're using to control your rack stuff plugged into the Switchblade. |

| | | | Ahh Beastly!
I'm waiting and anticipating on hearing from Mark as to when mine will arrive.
I'd have probably opted for the Silver finish, but by the time I got my order in the only one left was the last black/orange finish.
How long did it take to receive yours after you placed your order ? |

| i have an ada controller to switch banks, but i am considering getting a rocktron patchmate floor model to handle midi along with some of the loops i'm going to set up.
barring that, i'm might build 2 4-loop switchers and have those elements of pedal board controlled by that.
still trying to figure out how i'm going to integrate everything heh. wish i could afford another switchblade - even the 8 channel one would rock. as it is, i plan on building two side-by-side 4 space racks under the moogs/eventides on the new board. that'll give me 8 spaces on the pedalboard and might remove the need for one of my 10 space racks.

| | | | Cool,
I ordered mine on the 30th of July.
Mark said it would take around 1-2 weeks before shipping.
I'm trying to tell myself that I shouldn't get too excited and too just wait for the email confirmation that it's shipping.
It's not quite working out that way though as I'm getting more and more giddy as the days go by.

They're just the switching part of it (no footswitches), but something like a Gordius Little Giant could easily control them, your Switchblade, and the Eventides and all their exp. pedal functions, etc.
What do you mean by putting rack spaces under your board? Is it going to be a giant ramp shape? |

| my intentions right now are to have it stepped. the two front corners, holding the exp/vol controllers, will be ground level, along with the front edge connecting them (Where i intend on putting my midi/loop controllers). the beast/bass whammy will be on a little island about 3 inches up, and the back half will be up 7 inches, with room underneath for 4 rack spaces. the width is 41 inches, so there's room for side-by-side racks. they'll only be about 11-12 inches deep, so i don't plan on putting big stuff in there, but i have a lot of rack gear that is less than 10 inches deep that i could put in there.
of course weight is gonna be an issue, so i am trying to figure out some build materials that will be suitably strong without weighing a ton. got a friend who can weld aluminium so i'm hoping he might be able to rig me up a frame, then i'm thinking lucite steps for the pedals (thinking of cannibalizing some of the case lights from my old cube computer to put underneath them) :
get some trailer-trash-type action going.
it'll probably end up being a mess, but it'll at least keep me occupied til school starts

You can program them to do anything at all. Stuff I never thought I could do with a MIDI controller. One button can change the function of all the other buttons with one press, or do an infinite amount of different commands on every sequential press....crazy stuff.
As for the stepped racks, they sound very cool (but heavy!) Pedalgear.net makes modular pedalboards that have rack spaces in the back, but I think they're limited to 2 or 3 rack spaces per board. |

| yeah, i'm thinking it's going to be hard to do this without this thing weighing a ton. that's why i haven't started yet - trying to figure out some lesser-weight alternatives heh.

I've owned the Little Giant and now own the Big Little Giant. They're worth every penny to me- there's nothing out there like them. You can combine so many tasks in so many ways that it just makes everything super-simple. Programming in on your PC is actually very easy once you get the hang of it. They're a big investment though, so I wouldn't suggest them to anyone who doesn't do a lot of MIDI switching and controlling. |
