Currently, I'm a little too broke for George Ls. I'd need to drop about $140 to really wire up my board the way I want it. I'm using cheap Hosa patch cables.

Hotrox UK does a good price for George L's. I was originally planning on getting them from america (I need a lot). But due to recent changes to the exchange rate, it'd be cheaper for me to get them from Hotrox.

They're great cables btw.

What are your priorities?

Price?

Size?

Customizability?

George L's aren't the cheapest but they work pretty well. I like them better than Planet Waves which are the other major custom kit available. Hosa offers a cheap short length kit that a lot of people seem to be satisfied with.

Anything will work, it's where you place your priorities.

My board is currently wired up with cheap cables mainly. They sound just fine and haven't gone bad on me yet. My planet waves cables have caused more trouble than the cheap ones. Also, on the planet waves, the jacks are huge. If i got another custom kit, it would be George L.

I use those cheap little colored molded cables that you can buy on Ebay for $7 a bag. They seem to work well, though the colors are a little irritating to look at.
