Hot Hand 3 and Line 6 FM4

Does anybody know how I can use the Hot Hand 3 with my line 6 fm4 pedal? I want to control the Q-filter effect with it. However, in the FM4 manual, it says that (with a normal expression pedal), that i need to push it back, make a setting, then push it forward.
But a Hot Hand doesn't work in the same way does it?

Can anyone help?!

Thanks

It works fine with the DL4. Assume it is the same thing.

The way the Line 6 works is you have you exp pedal in heel position, then you turn knobs to what you want, then push exp to toe position and adjust the knobs to what you want that sound to be them presto, rock back and forth to morph those parameters. The it says you save that scene to a memory slot, done.

HH3 to act like exp pedal I set my 'depth' all the way to Left (All way right reverses the sweep) and the 'smooth' to about 12'oclock.
