No, I use the Fromel for my "vintage amp tone", where it rolls off the highs, gives a nice wide hump in the low mids, and gradually tapers off the lows.
I have more or less decided the low-end attenuation of the SD is a
good thing for the sort of context where I'd want a tight, smooth, articulate, edgy tone. There are other pedals I choose for when I want a deeper, fatter tone. But since the SD just turns down the lows a tad, and doesn't
cut them off, you certainly could use an EQ pedal to bring those lows back up.
