Sign in to disble this ad
As title says I'm look to basically get something to blend 2 two channels that have been split into one so I can get a dual amp kinda sound. Looked into getting a boss ls 2 and I've tried it using cable adapters but was wondering what other ways can it be done

The Boss LS-2 really is the best way to do it, unless you're going to start getting small mini-mixers and throwing them on your board.

You could try a Line 6 Pod X3 Live or the older Digitech BNX3 comes to mind if you didn't want to lug around a two amp setup. Hope this helps,
Brent

Um only problem is I was looking for something cheaper but ty that's a good idea for something else I wanted.

Um would small mixers be cheaper I don't seem to be able to find the ls used for under 80 bucks which seems to me to be way to much for what it is but I may break down and do it

There are such thing as blender pedals, where you put pedals in the loop and blend that in with your "clean" signal.

But the LS-2 is essentially doing the same thing, and is probably the cheapest of them.

Yeah, you're not gonna get much cheaper than that, and the other blender pedals don't let you blend two loops, they only give you one loop.

I think there are a couple of better solutions than the LS-2, but they aren't going to compete with the LS-2 on cost.

Badger Schism, Wounded Paw Super Blender and SFX split and mix or SFX X&M; are all more capable in certain ways than a LS-2, but all are more expensive.

You can get mini mixers for around 30 or 40, but they can be a PITA to implement smoothly, plus they take up a ton of room.

Your best bet on the cheap is an LS-2.

Be patient, you can find LS-2's for around $50.

I actually disagree with this. Maybe have a different purpose, but not more capable.

As a dual or triple parallel looper, the Schism and Super Blender have it all over the LS-2. Footswitchable control of each loop individually, the ability to bypass them all or one at a time, phase adjustments, mute-on versus bypass-on control. The SFX versions aren't as fully functional as the Badger and WP (or the Boss), but the X&M has a crossover that makes it pretty intringuing.

There's a few things the LS-2 does that the Badger and WP don't, but not many, most notable to me is the A<->B mode. That would be neat from time to time.

LS-2 has an amazing array of capabilities given its size and price, but for fully functional dual loop control, it lacks in a few areas. I couldn't use an LS-2 the way I use my Badger, which is why I don't own one.
