How can I get this tone?

The tone for the intro and verses of Torn is what I'm after. I assume it's a fretless, and I hear some harmonics in there, but besides that I'm clueless as to how he makes it sound so good.

To me, It just sounds like a fretless, perhaps with bridge Pickup solo'ed

sounds like a Fender Jazz Fretless - with some finger vibrato at times, oh and a tube amp
