How to determine age of MXR dyna comp

Sign in to disble this ad
Does anyone know how to determine the age of my MXR dyna comp? It's at least 30 years old, but I'm not sure how old. Also, does anyone have an opinion of whether the old ones sound better than the new ones?

Thanks.

30 years old would be 1981, should have a block logo with LED. the first ones had script logo no LED, 2nd ones had block logo no LED, 3rd ones block logo LED. you can date it by the code on the pots. google date codes on CTS pots

The old ones and the new ones sound equally crappy on bass.
