How do I build this? (an amp input that also takes an 1/8 inch input for music)

I want to build a little box that goes into an amp input. The box will have a 1/4 inch input for regular bass and an 1/8 inch input for music. I know I can do straight wiring and just combine them and probably get away with it, but what is a setup that is both very good and very simple?

Do I need to build or buy a simple buffer or is there a simple circuit I can hand wire for this?

I need to build 2 of these. I probably have the parts unless I need an IC for it.

Joe
