How do I emulate a chorus effect with a delay pedal?

my pedalboard is full, dont see myself replacing my main pedals with a chorus, yet would like the option to get a 'chorusy' effect when called upon.

the delay pedal i own is a hardwire dl-8

Set delay type to Modulated, Repeats to minimum, Time to minimum or near mininmum. Set Level to taste. I think thats as close as you'll get with this pedal, but bear in mind that I have never played one, just googled a pic to see what knobs where on it.

I doubt you'll get anything that sounds good, they're two very different effects. I'd recommend just buying a chorus pedal and seeing if you can squeeze it in or get rid of another pedal possibly?

Most modulated analog delays make more or less convincing choruses. I don't know about the Digitech though. Advise given in the previous post should get you there.

thanks for the advice! i got a decent airy chorus tone with the delay pedal. I went on youtube to check out the boss ceb3 demos, and i could get really close to some of its tone with just the delay pedal

The DL-8 is a great pedal.
