Did quite the search and didn't find anything- though I did learn that Post-Your-Pedalboard 1 was started while I was in highschool, is almost 3000 posts and over 4 years long, and for the first couple years features mostly text descriptions of signal chains without photo accompaniment, but I digress.
I'm making a new wood pedalboard and when I've made them in the padt I've always found the sticky backing to not want to stick and had to use a lot of staples to reinforce it. |

| | Registered User | | Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Portland, OR | | | When I built mine I used some 1x2's and some industrial strength velcro that was 2" wide. The velcro wrapped around the edges of the wood and has stayed in place since. That was a few years ago.
I'm pretty sure that not having a pedal pull up on the edge of the velcro was a huge help. So I guess my suggestion is use small strips of wood. |

Also, if you want the velcro permanently glued to it, I use contact cement.

I used 3M Super 77 spray adhesive with staples on the ends for my wooden board. It has held up to repeated pedal changes without ever pulling off the board.

|  | Functionless Art is Merely Tolerated Vandalism | | Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan | | | I covered my pedal board with automotive trunk liner, it was free for me and cheap for anybody else, you just hot glue the velcro to your pedals and they stick right to the carpet, the hot glue and velcro comes off from the back off the pedal fairly easily if you ever need to remove it. |
