How is FX25 used in Dub?

I don't play anu Dub although I enjoy listening to it.

I'm just curious how you guys use an FX25 to get Dub sounds? I'm assuming it's set to work as a Bass boost - do you use any of the Filter effect at all? Can someone point me to some clips?

Set both controls to zero.

Yep. No envelope, just filtering highs (well, some lows too, bandpass with low Q i assume.) and resonating the lows. Sounds great for $50.

Really you just have to set the sensitivity to zero.
But the other thing you can do is put the sensitivity relatively low but not off. This will give you that dub sound but give you a big "bubble" when you dig in.

Ftp, I also believe the DOD is a bp filter.

It's a great pedal for dub. The Moog LPF is king, but for a fraction of the price, the FX25 is a great bargain - and a super wet filter to boot.

For this particular purpose they sound the same to me. Where they differ is more in how it sounds when the filter opens up.
