How to get that Heuey Lewis Sound
Hey, Yall. We are considering covering H. Lewis's "Do you believe in love". Pretty basic thumpin qtr note bass line in the verses. But it has a nice sound. Sounds like bass and a very low piano hitting at the same time. Or is it? Any ideas how they are achieving that throaty sound?

Definitely a piano doubling the bass. Apart from that, sounds pretty much like a P-Bass to me (he's using a different bass in the music video though, can't tell what)

Thanks. Thats what it sounds like to me too. But was thinking maybe there were two amps involved or something. They make a nice sound together for sure. Other than a compressor I dont mess around with effects on bass.
