Hey guys,
There's a video of a Battery cover by Metallica, and in it, the guy's tone is awesome! Can anyone recognize the effects he's using, if any, or is it just the Rickenbacker?

Probably a Boss ODB-3 (Bass Overdrive).
Interesting rendition of this song... while he's playing it differently, he has some serious speed!

And as far as his interpretation of the bass part, it's very interesting. I myself play the triplets too when I play the song, but he does it so effortlessly.
EDIT: I checked out that boss pedal, thing's sick! Thanks a lot Mystic

And again, it might just be the video quality/YouTube compression, but it seems to be cutting lows so I wonder if he's not using a BOSS OS-2 |

If you hear any of the bass master tracks from Kill 'Em All, Ride the Lightning, or Master of Puppets, they're so impressive |
