I listened to the examples on the sonivox site. I hope you are really good at programming, because the examples sound like they are being played by a beginner. I get that it is a computer sim, but french house is all about the human feel on bass.

Fred Falke - live player. Daft Punk - live player (sometimes sampled).

My point is you would be better off to hire a live player or sample live playing.

Also you will need to be very good with your filters. French house basslines are heavily filtered.

I admit to knowing very little, but how would an octaver work? You'd probably also need a low pass filter for that synthy sound. POG2 with the filter on and dry signal turned off altogether, only getting sub-bass?

He would need an actual bass and bass player for that. This is programmed bass, he wants to know what plugin to buy for his computer.

thx you for your answer all of you

i agree at first point , that there is a need of a low pass filter with a bit of Q

@Duckwater, i was conviced this sound is come from a real bass but you might right its can be maybe a synth...
i had personally in the past own many old synth & now i keep only a Virus TI but i never eard this bass from any synth (maybe i could with more programing...?)

@AngelCrusher, yes im not bad at programming but after try ,the loop have a "slide" notes & i cannot recreate the same groove exactly like this , so its certainly made by a real player

@Shakin Slim, i dont know right now what its an octaver but will read & test some if i found
POG2 look good & i will listen some demo

i thought that the bass would be behind a big plugin like all waves old comp & effects

for the fact since i need for all my next production to have that kind of bass (really phat)
im even open to buy new equipment like a real bass & etc if i found exactly what is needed
i have many bass sample & its hard to find good phat one like the one i post in the exemple
by the way many house producer use exactly the same & im sure there is a way to obtain this

@Downunderwonder
for the bass exemple here is a demo of my next song wich use the same bass so you can ear it

thx you all !!

I don't hear any stringed instrument input in that bass.

Sounds like mostly a lowpass filter in the soundcloud demo.
Also sounds like a straight synth that has a quick glide or something.

If that's real, I want to know what gear he is using! Haha.

At this stage you probably need to start a new thread with synth bass in the title and the synth experts will come to the rescue.
