how many milli-amps req'd for a Cali76 compressor? Wondering if you can power a Cali76 (the basic version, not the upgrade) with a pedal power 2. I heard that the wall-wart indicates it's 450mA. I suspect that's more than the actual current draw on the pedal. The PP2's high current outputs are 250mA so you could put two in series and get 18V at 250mA. Thanks, Chris |
received email from Simon at Origin Effects: The Cali76-standard consumes the following: 9mA @ 9V 21mA @ 18V The Cali76-TX (transformer-board-installed) current consumption figures are as follows: 9mA @ 9V 64mA @ 18V So you’ll have no trouble using the PedalPower2 – it’s a great supply! |
That's cool what does the Cali sound like? |
It adds a subtle thickness and sheen to the tone. Also the organic character of its response allows it to sound dynamic, "not really compressed", even when much of the signal is over the threshold. |
