So, I'm going thru cables and stuff and I'm checking out my effects and in another one of my ADD moments I start adding up how much I've spent on effects so far. I stop adding once I get to $1,100 cuz it's making me sick knowing how much coin I've dropped so far and I don't even have a chorus or delay yet (but I've got like 9 various dirt pedals... go figure). I'm starting to wonder if I need an intervention, or if this is just par for the course. So my question to you is this: How much do you have invested in your effects at this point?
Thanks. |

I like hearing the sound of my bass by itself. I only use effects when the song needs a little bit of colour. But just a little bit.

who cares how much cash youve dropped if youre enjoying them and youre getting the sounds you want. i mean, if you are going hungry and missing rent and other bills, then its a problem.
then again, im 25 and have no one but myself to take care of, so i wont get yelled at for spending what i do on music gear. my brother still makes fun of me and my "pedal fetish" though. |

Also have a Whammy Pedal $125, Zoom B2 $100, and RNC 1773 comp $180 that I bought and decided not to use regularly. Seeing all these figures in written form depresses me. But at least I'm done now. Any other effects I might need I'm using the Zoom.
