How are you using your ODB-3?

Well I got bored yesterday and threw my ODB-3 back onto my board. It's right after my 105q and man it sounds really good. I run my BDDI with a slight grit right before the Wah and with the ODB-3 right after it the wah really shines.

Who else is using this pedal with good results? If so, how are you using it and what settings? I'm just curious because it seems like this pedal gets ripped on a lot.

I'm enjoying mine at the moment, bass, treble and blend at 2o'clock, gain at 10o'clock.

If you set the gain to zero and the blend to max, then run a hot signal through it, you can get a really nice warm gritty sound out of it.

With gain and blend at zero, you can use the EQ to be a Mole and Screaming Bird all in one.

There are several moments i use the odb3. Settings drive at 11, mix at 11 bass at 2, treble at 9 output just over unity. At the end of songs just to get that rumble and sustain. Sometimes to punch out a solo, especially with the phase switch on my bass engaged or the Heart Attack engaged. In combination with another fuzz for over the top or feedback. Oddly enough I find it settles down the output of the Devi Ever Vintage Bass Master. I also use it to drive the Uni Bass which I usually run clean.

mine is for sale because i couldnt find a practical use for it...maybe ill have to work with it some more.
i used to have it paired up with a russian bassball, and that was fun. but again not practical for my band setting.

Mine is living in its box in my spare stuff bag - I should really get round to selling it. If someone else loves the sound then good for them. Personally I think it sound like a swarm of angry wasps in a chainsaw factory. All fizz, buzz and no subtlety or definition.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more posts about this as I remember reading about tons of guys who use it in coordination with something else...

Currently, its the only pedal I have. So I just go straight into the amp. I'm in the hunt for a new OD. But I'll hang on to it just in case I ever get a pedal like a wah or eq.

mine is currently being used on at all times, but not always for the overdrive effect.
W/O overdrive: HighEQ full, LowEQ 75%, balance 0, gain 0
W overdrive: HighEQ full, LowEQ 75%, balance 25%, gain 50%

I reckon if it had a parametric eq for mids it would be a whole lot more useful. Perhaps a stacked control like the bass/treble stack where the balance pot is, and stack the balance and gain on the gain pot.
