How's the compressor on the Boss ME-50B Multi fx?

Sign in to disble this ad
I tried the ME-50B briefly, the loud, distracting shredders at GC prevented me from really hearing the pedal's nuances.

How would u rate it's compressor, there are some fantastic comp. reviews on TB. but I can't find any info on this..

Any significant loss of lows? noise? issues?
I was wondering if anyone has been using this as an
"on all the time" effect, and what your opinion was?

I used to own a ME-50B, and I thought that the compressor was one of its better aspects. I don't recall any significant noise, and I had no problems with it. I particularly liked the "Natural" and "D-Comp" (an emulation of the famous MXR Dyna-Comp) settings, and I played with the compression on most of the time.

ditto. I used to own it. Played with the compression on all the time. Used the 'natural' setting. But the different models will help you find the setting you want.

i owned one about 2 years ago i had the compressor on all the time, no noise and it's decent enough.. i upgraded to single pedals i got the EBS MultiComp (which is great) but the settings on me-50b are very great to get the hang of compression on your bass
