Christian Wolstenholme of Muse has one, but there is very little information to be found on it..
i know it's a distortion pedal, but that's about it.. some pages have info on it, but it's all in Japanese.. and since my Japanese isn't as good as it used to be.. well you get the idea |

Did you find anything about it? I can't find it on ebay, so it must be very rare! It would be nice if someone knew anything about it... It has to be good when Chris uses it |

The Animato isn't produced anymore and has been replaced by the Animato Forte.
I've never played them. For the price (over 250 for a pedal) you shouldn't have problems finding a more than decent US alternative. |

Has anyone here actually played through one of these? I've been toying around with the idea of getting one. I found one for sale and am very seriously considering buying it.
I'm just interested to see what people have to say about them. |

| | | I havn't played them but they seem... silly.
Unless it sounds heavenly, find an old sovtek big muff and bass it through that. That'll do for the muse sound.
then all you need is a akai deep impact
good luck with that haha |

The Animato is not a silly pedal. I just bought one for 40,800 yen, shipped and insured from the one place in Japan that will ship to the US... |

I think it will perform well, and it'll be alot better sounding that any muff I have tried... |
