a humble request: bluebeard clips!

Sign in to disble this ad
i have yet to find these anywhere, except for examples of it in songs. and yes, i've searched, numerous times.

i'm looking for clips of how well it does on lower gain settings, and how well it does on slightly higher gain. basically, everything the pedal can do. i'm seeing if it's right for my setup. i have a GEB-7 here all ready to be used as a booster behind it, as i'm looking for two stages of gain.

thanks in advance. tricky decision.. bluebeard, or bassdrive.. bluebeard, or bassdrive..

Get both! They seem do do a little different things. Overdrive & fuzzz.

I'm trying to decide between the bluebeard and the wren and cuff pickle pie. Good luck!

i'd rather save my small student wallet, but i dunno. the bluebeard is a fuzz cranked, but it has a nice smooth overdrive (according to some people) on lower gain settings.
tricky decisions.

i heard wren and cuff clips before. one of the best fuzzes i've heard ever recorded, but on the lower settings it sounded pretty much the same, minus some volume. bit like a big muff, really. i'm after some versatility, which apparently the bluebeard delivers.. just have to hear it for myself.

i'm not bothered about tweaking the pedal between songs and that just need a good full on pedal already got a few pedals that need tweaking between songs

I thought the Bluebeard was basically a modded Bigmuff.

yeah it's a modded russian big muff.. but, modded to hell. it seems to have really amazing clarity and range. but of course, i kind of need clips instead of hearing studio recordings. hahah.

It's really not modded to hell

only about 6 or so values are changed and they aren't as radical as your think.

Green Russian Schem

GGG tuned Muff (aka the Bluebeard Fuzz)

And you can build it for about $66 from General Guitar Gadgets

I built a tonebender clone (with my own tuned tone control - so those values are different from all schematics) using their BMP board and it only took me five hours (including matching the TB schem to the BMP board)

I'll be building a Bluebeard so I can to a Tonebender - Bluebeard head to head comparison.

Seriously gentlemen - it's not a hard build - just buy one a do it already!

I am actually, I ordered two GGG BMP kits last week and now they are here I plan on doing the Tuned [Bluebeard Fuzz], and, I have a real green Sovtek which is great [I got it new about 12 years a go] so I can do a side by side of the two. When I have time to put the kits together that is.
