I am between HBE and MXR

This the first time i leave a post here...
And I am trolling for opinions, advice and experiences...

I am using Boss ME50B, but it is not fit for me and the sounds of the effect are not good too.

So I have decided to buy a new one. I am looking for a bass overdrive/ distortion.

I searched for different brands that the sound and budget is fit.
That is the HBE(HomeBrew Electronics) hematoma(bass overdrive+preamp) and the MXR bass Blowtorch

I have tried the HBE, it is good. But I can't compare it with the blowtorch as there is no dealers in Hong Kong.......

so I am seeking help form all of you guys.

I usually play Brit rock, rock, punk, emo

Thanks....

Blowtorch rips! The only OD pedal that DOESN'T CUT LOWS! But, people complain that it's to "buzzy", but it's perfect for me. I use it as a fuzz pedal mostly, but it's ballsy 4 sho!

depends on what you need ..

i tried both and Hematoma gives you a very good OD, but not too extensively 'dirty' and 'fuzzy' ..

but blowtorch is much more like a fuzz than an OD

so depends what you really need for your music though

The Hematoma and the Blowtorch are so different it's not even funny.

And seriously, the Blowtorch is not the only overdrive pedal that doesn't cut lows. Far from it. And I would say it more farts than rips, I've owned two of them and the Blowtorch is not good for an aggressive biting sound that "rips" implies.
