Basically, what it boils down to is, I've been running the same 3 pedals for close to like 7 months now. I'm bored. I used to have a fairly big board with lots of variety.
From this:
To this:
I want a new pedal. And I have the perfect excuse to get one, it's my birthday on Sunday. But I can't decide what kind of effect I want, let alone what brand. I can't decide if I want something fun and probably mostly useless (another Whammy) or something more practical (maybe another 105Q or envelope filter). I want effects, not something like a compressor or tuner. Even though I've always needed a pedal tuner. I've wanted a tremolo in the past, but I have no need for one.
A recent goal of mine, even though I LOVE my EBS ValveDrive, is to get both an overdrive and a fuzz with clean blends. I've even thought about having a dual looper/blender pedal built.
Or maybe I should just suck it up and buy a real pedalboard instead of a piece of painted plywood with handles? Pedaltrain-Jr?
I'm totally lost. Open to any and all ideas. And I'm intentionally leaving out a lot of info about what I need pedal-wise and what I play. I want a variety of suggestions. Then we can get more specific with brands and such. |

It would have the guts of like 3 different pedals in it. It would be huge, expensive and complicated. I kinda decided to give up on it today. I don't really need a fuzz right now. A filter would be fun. But I can't decide between wah or envelope. If I got a wah, it would get decked out with lights again. |

And honestly, the blend is the only thing on it I could find a use for right now. If I buy a blender it's going to be a Barge Concepts VB-Jr ... or 2. |

It's a chorus, phaser, flanger, wah/envelope filter, modulated filter, rotary speaker sim, tremolo, vibrato, undulator (reverse pitch shift + reverb), and ring mod all in one box. TONS of fun, and all of the effects sound great!
[edit]Plus you can blend with it without the need for a separate box. |

Downsides to this: I have not tried one. I have no idea how it sounds. Also, it's a guitar pedal, so it might have awful low end response. Might be worth a try though if you come across one in a shop. |

That looks like it might be at the top of the list right now. But that 3Leaf looks sick too.
EDIT:
On the other hand, a $400 pedal isn't what I'm looking for.

On the other hand, a $400 pedal isn't what I'm looking for. | Yeah, it's a bit pricey. It's currently going head-to-head with my MXR Flanger to see who is king of the pedalboard. It's also cool that every effect can be modulated by a number of different waveforms as well as s/h, envelope, and expression pedal control. This thing killed all GAS I had for a Tychobrache/Chicago Iron Pedal Flanger. It already destroyed my Analogman Bi-Chorus in terms of sheer tweakability, although the Analogman has a much more lush and natural analog sound. |

I've got no use for half the effects (chorus, vibrato and ringmod). I read the wah and filter are less than perfect. But having the phaser, flanger and tremolo in one box might be nice. And I'm sure I might be able to find a use for most of the effects. |

Although the vocal wah effect did replace my Bassballs (it's much more formant). I'll be sure to let you know how it goes. I should know for sure in a week or two. |

| | | | Don't get rid of the MXR Flanger. If you use it regularly you'll be lost without it.
For Fuzz and OD, how about the Wounded Paw BATTERING RAM Overdrive + Fuzz. No blend on it but it sounds like your open to using a blend pedal.
Phasers are always a good option (I have several). The HBE Psilocybe is currently my go phase.
And I can't function without a good wah.
