I am using KORG DT-10 pedal tuner, should I change the NEW one?

Sign in to disble this ad
I've got a Huge pedal board... I want to downsize my board. So I am looking for smaller version for my pedals.
When I plan to get the pedal tuner, I compared the BOSS TU2 with KORG DT-10.
I chose KORG DT-10 because the LED light is BIGGER so I can tune my bass easier on stage.

What I want to ask is hows the sensitivity of the New smaller one KORG pedal tuner?
Anyone use them both and compared?

Thanks a lot

The Pitchblack is even smaller.

I own one of each, The DT-10 and a new Pitchblack. I really like both but size wise, you may not gain a whole lot from the Pitchblack as it's jacks are on the side and the DT-10 jacks are on top of the pedal.

I have compared the bypass in them recently and there is definately some tone loss with the DT-10 when run in line. I am using the Pitchblack, not only as my tuner but also as my mute switch so its working out really well and saving me from needing a separate mute switch.

The DT-10 is a super tuner though and its really not that big.

So the pitchblack is better? and pitchblack will not suck tone while DT-10 will?

Well, I've got a (black) DT-10, and have had no issues with tone suckage. I've also been able to use it at an outdoor venue while the two guitard players squinted and danced with their TU-2's.

Thinking about getting the Pitchblack to replace the DT-10 (could possibly do a straight trade with someone). Not sure if it would be an upgrade per se, though true bypass is always nice, and I need the real estate on my tiny board.

I'm interested to see some answers to redangel's questions as well.

The tone suckage is monor on my silver DT-10 but its definately there. Besides the true bypass issue, the quality is fantastic on both tuners. I think the Pitchblack will be really strong seller as its pretty much the perfect pedal tuner in that its very small, true bypass and very accurate. The display is cool and has 4 different modes. I find the standard mode works the best as the strobe modes are not as easy to use.

I ordered a Pitchblack yesterday. My favourite local store will be taking back my DT-10 as a "new re-stock", since I only got it a month or so ago. Pretty much an even trade for the upgrade, couldn't pass it up.

The Pitchblack's pretty good. Large display. Good tuning accuracy and True Bypass. Slightly smaller than the DT-10 so you will save at least a bit of space.

Recently kicked my DT10BR off my board in favour of the Pitchblack.
