Can you use bass effects on a guitar??? I mainly play bass but was just wondering... like I have 2 different distortion pedals and my guitarist has 0 of em so i was gonna lend it to him. Is this okay for his guitar/ amp/ my pedal???

I used my bass effect pedals on guitar. Never played bass through a guitar one tho.

Absolutely. I use my board for both guitar and bass.

Don't let "bass only" FX give you the impression that you can't use guitar effects on bass and vice versa.

Some of them might be voiced a little low or dark for guitar. My Blueberry kind of sucks for guitar, no high end at all. But it totally rocks for bass!

My dad used to use my bass overdrive because he didn't have an OD pedal.

This isn't as related, but guitars sound amazing through bass amps, too. Bass amps give guitars a lot of clean, round presence.

My guitar player ran through all my bass specific pedals with mixed results.

The XXLB sounded good. I don't remember the SansAmp being all that great. The tracking was really glitchy on the OctBass and the Bass Robotalk wouldn't trigger. Haven't tried the Blueberry or the Octavius Squeezer.

I really liked my guitar players sound through my GK rig. Very clean and thick sound.

Yeah this is true.
I'm guessing this is why one of fenders most sucessful combo is actually a bass amp that loads of guitar players happened to love.
