I feel the need to buy something

ok, well its finally time to get me a pedal....

what sound do i want? well a variety, i would love a syth type thing, a pretend slap type sound,a distortion, a thick flanger, a compressor....all that type of stuff...

something to play with and do presets, i dont want a bunch of pedals to worry about, i would luv just one

i have narrowed it down to:

Tech21 - VT Bass Deluxe

Markbass super synth

yeh i have listened to em on youtube, but i cant make up my mind.

Coming from another direction, maybe i should just buy one of those mini syth booards like a korg micro, something i could use with one hand off to the side on a stand just to do some one fingered chord things.

Get a multi. The VT deluxe won't do any of the sounds you described but dirt. And the super synth is just that, a synth pedal. If you want presets, flanger etc, then a multi fx pedal is the only way to do those sounds with one pedal.
