I feel sick

Sign in to disble this ad
Yesterday I had the chance to buy one of these

They aren't really available at the moment and I said no I feel sick.

But I'm trying to avoid this

I already have the Hyperpak and the V8 and I'm getting a Serrano again soon.

and that will only lead to me wanting the stupidly rare Pheaton back

I need a hug

We all make mistakes. You just have to move on. Everything will be OK - I promise.

"OT"...but...Hey Tayste...have you tried out the Ottava Magus yet? Is this a octavia (fuz/octave) type pedal? I can't find any info on this pedal on the catalinbread site...I read some info you wrote hon it here at TB...but it sounds more like a straight ahead octave up pedal...unless you max out the intensity..does it get dirty as you bump the intensity?

Mark Olson/Assboglin owns/owned one he did some clips it sounded really nice to me.

If I got that it would mean I could set my octron 2 to a cleaner octave setting which would be good but I think my board has enough fuzz as is

The Catalinbread guys seem to really like the Valcoder.

Did you hear the clip I sent you last night of it, I was really impressed it gets really really slow and really really fast.

Yes and yes

Erksin (who I think is an assistant at Catalinbread) did some great clips too.

Hummingbird

I know you like the Catalinbread fx, but if it's a percussive trem you're after, check out the Hummingbird.

http://www.earthquakerdevices.com/hummingbird.html

It's great for pulsing and throbbing effects.

Yeah but it's not a mini pedal and according to Catalinbread they've changed that pedal quite a bit since I owned one. (I owned a vinyl covered one from the early catalinbread years) I don't think the occilation side has changed much but the distortion has better bass and is less compressed apparently. I did love using that pedal with the gain off it gave me huge Tony Levin esq comp squish.

I don't think there is much between the V8 and the Teaser though but I'm not sure.

If I get enough money this week from things I'm selling I think I will pick up that trem

I don't think I'll ever be able to justify the Magus unless I get rid of my Octron 2 and I just never see that happening, as much as I'd love to set the octave up to a cleaner sound, it's such a good blendable fuzz.

I'm not selling them on this forum as the exchange rate and shipping just kills it.

EHX Nano Bassballs
Danelectro Daddy O
Some of the George L's I didn't use or didn't match what I already had.
