I have about 270 Canadian dollars to spend and I want a few more pedals to complete my not-so-complete board. As it is now, I have a 105Q wah, Digitech Bass Synth Wah, Boss Bass Overdrive and a SansAmp Bass Driver DI. So what do you guys think? And be specific if you can.

What type of music do you play? What sound are you trying to get?

Oh right, I knew I forgot something. Well, I enjoy playing a lot of music, from jazz to metal. However I mostly play funk and rock.

I would look at modulation first: chorus, flange, or phase depending on you preferences. The Boss Chorus and flanger are good for cheap and the MXR phase 90 and EHX small stone are good cheap phasers.

A fuzz pedal could e a nice addition. The EHX bass big muff is solid choice.

A compressor may or may not be handy for you playing style. Others can probably give better recommendations

Depending how you use your Bass Synth Wah, an octive pedal is also a fun addition. I like the discontinues Boss OC-2 better than the newer OC-3 but both work.

Chorus & tuner.
For $270, you'll have to either buy standard stuff (Boss) or used you can go bit more wild. I'm not thrilled with the Boss or Digitech chorus... Look for a EBS unichorus perhaps. Tuner? That new Korg is true bypass and therefor pretty cool...

Still $231.50 based on the current exchange rate.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. This is actually pretty hard to decide what I want, as 270 dollars isn't a lot of money when it comes to pedals.

Anyway, keep the suggestions comin'.

Well, I actually just got mine yesterday, so as it is now I play on the 2nd effect setting and use it as an octaver/auto-wah.

Tuner and modulation. IMO go with a Planetwaves chromatic tuner/Korg Pitchblack and an EHX nano small stone.

You could buy a few nice pedals for that. especially if you shop here on the TB classifieds!

I would totally consider a Phaser of some sort, and maybe a pedalboard if you don't have one already. A Pedaltrain Junior is on $110 at Long & Mquade. A Phase90 EHX Small Stone are each under $100 as well.

Or you could blow it all on a high end pedal like a Diamond Halo Chorus or the Diamond Phaser. Check out the Fulltone stuff as well. They make some great stuff that works well on bass.

chorus and a fuzz, if you ask me. i like the boss bass chorus pretty well. as far as fuzzes...so many choices.

a compressor is really nice too if you want to funk it up.
