That was the 1st video they put up on the SFT. There are links to it in the 1st thread on here about SFT GAS. It's what sold me on it...until I got one and sent it back haha. Lots of d00ds on here are LOVING it though. Just not my cup of tea.

Yup... I'm one d00d that loves it. I use it primarily for low gain applications.

How well does this run into a tube amp? It seems as if they run all of their bass demos into that Trace Elliot, and I'm playing a Peavey VB-2

I always thought these were cool, but (fortunately BEFORE I bought one) realized I can get almost all the sounds I'd want out of it from other pedals I have, like my ancient reqired muff, modded bad monkey, etc. Of course if I ever needed to conserve pedalboard space...

How hard is to get a sound like the one in the video?

I found the vids a little misleading.

Actually the sound in that video isn't too hard to get. Just crank the gain, boost lows a bit and then fiddle with it until you're happy. But its not NEARLY as touch sensitive as that one video suggests, and I can't get that Jamerson tone that they get in another one.

Still love it though

Just a heads up. If you're playing in a band w/ high gain g****rs, the SFT will bump you out of the mix (IME). Sounds SO good when g****rs are clean though!

It's been reverse engineered already at freestompboxes.org.

Catalinbread SFT

Using a Fender Classic 70s jazz bass.

I roll off my two pickups in the clip, just listen for it. Towards 2:20 in the clip, I turn the bass knob all the way up on the SFT. Unfortunately, you can barely tell.

Sorry, this isn't 100% accurate for the SFT. If you like this sound, you'll love the pedal in person. It's hard capturing its awesomeness without proper equipment.

Recorded with my Zoom H2.
