Muse. The song is called hysteria.

Everytime i log into youtube it keeps showing me people playing covers of this song on bass. But how would you even get that sound? At first i though it was a synth but it's all bass in the beginning.

i have a line 6 floor pod xt live, so im sure i could build a patch but i have no idea where to even begin.

This might be the most asked question in the effects forum and it has been covered quite a few times. So before you get hammered by people telling you to do a search, here's some reading that might help:

A complete review of his gear and more:
Chris Wolstenholme: The Sticky Ver. 1

And from this thread comes the answer:

There you have it...

Why have new posts then? If all the info is already here, no reason to have new posts. Sorry to bother you, dude.

And if you want a relatively cheap and simple solution to getting close to that sound. I recommend the bass big muff pi.

That's the first pedal I bought and after that I developed a common addiction known by the name of GAS, don't say I didn't warn you.
