i had some free time after a session, so i decided to get out some of my pedals and start seeing how different things are working for me these days. i set up the boss oc2, woolly mammoth, noise box, moog filter, and line6 delay... i also had my ibanez flanger and a sansamp GT4, but i don't know if they are really doing it for me anymore... i need a bug crusher micro....
anyway, when i get home i will upload them... can't do it here at the studio for a number of annoying reasons...

Is it recorded straight into mixer/soundcard? Preamp/DI? |

Does one have to pay royalties for using the same pedals, by curious coincidence, in the same order?

everyone sounds different playing through the same stuff, so i'm not worried about people knowing what my rig is...
as for the bass/recording chain question, the bass was my 1977 fender jazz bass, and the recording chain was pedals>avalon u5 DI(tone position 1)>logic (rme converters). when i mixed it down, the signal came out of logic, i patched it to a 'federal' am864/u tube limiter, through the console for a bit of eq (just pushing 80hz a bit and pulling out some 300hz) and then the main outs of the console were recaptured into logic. then i just tossed a limiter on the bus to give it a few dbs of clean gain (i don't think there was ever more than 2db of limiting on a few transients) and bounced it as a 192k mp3.
cheers,
