Does anybody know any effects pedals that are good for a cheap price, or if it would be cheaper to make my own, could anyone tell me how to make my own?

There are loads of great cheap pedals. Just search on the word "cheap" or "inexpensive" here.

It's usually not cheaper to make your own, unless all you want is distortion, those are cheap to make. Go to www.diystompboxes.com to learn all about it.

If you're looking for a good affordable chorus pedal, I would recommend the danelectro fab chorus pedal. this pedal costs 15 dollars and it can give your bass a smooth retro chorus sound. also it can handle low b strings if you own a 5-string bass.

Thanks guys. I'm practically broke so I'm looking for cheap effects pedals. If you have any more recommendations, or if anybody else has any advice, I'd like to hear it.

But, in my opinion, if you don't know what you want or need, you really don't 'need' effects.

I'm in the same boat dude. But just because i can't spend much doesn't mean i'm stuck with lousy options. Some cheap pedals can be pretty dang good.
