hey guys so here's the dealeeo. i am going to school for music next year and i have a 115 combo amp as well as an 810 fridge. i love the sound i have with just my bass and head and usually go by the motto if it aint broke dont fix it. however, i need something that will give me the ability to create tones, and cycle through them bassed on the type of song for example when im playing a show or jamming with friends and we jam a jazz tune then got to something like muse, i am going to need to change my tone and fast!! my concern is that with a modeling effects processor, will it destroy all the natural and beautiful sounds i get out of my warwick bass? or will this be a good investment for music university?? i'm looking at line 6 and boss mostly. i owned a digitech and it was terrible. absolutly usless, sucked all the tone out of my warwick and made it sound way too fake. any help would be greatly appreciated

There are levels of quality in effects units just as there are levels of quality in basses. Check out the many "post your pedalboard" threads for ideas.
