So i just recently got a dunlop brick power supply and i had it hooked up to the 18v output. I've played around with it for a day and everything was fine. next day still okay, but then tonight it wouldn't light up, and i checked it out and it was dead I wanted to swear out loud, but the family was around, so instead i went to my room and punched chair.

So my question is do i send my pedal back through MF, or strait to tech 21? Thank you

Why did you send 18 V into a 9 V pedal ?
I'm afraid warranty won't work since you made the mistake.

Did you read somewhere that 18v was OK? Manual says 9v only.

it happens, dude. I'd wager that at least half the folks here have fried some kind of pedal or other. At least it wasn't a deep impact!

That you've decided to do the right thing and own your mistake defines you as being a man of good character.

When you talk to the folks at Tech 21 you may wish to ask them about that phantom power-able + three pre-sets + DI functions long-awaited update for the VT Bass.

A call can't hurt...Worse thing that'll happen is that the phone rings for a minute or two...

I put a piece of bright yellow electrical tape across each of my adapters, and a "flag" of the same tape at the jack end, with the name of the stompbox written across both with black Sharpie. This way I'll know exactly who the stoopid party is if I blow up one of my pedals.

System seems to be working so far...

So I talked with tech 21, and It sounds as if the warranty might be still good on it, they just need to check it out. also I asked him if they were going to make an updated vt bass, and he said 'as if i would tell you' but he said that just wait for namm show and they will have more new toys!
