I think I just heard the best spring reverb emulator ever

it's compact, with intensity/mix, tone and dwell controls. It sounds more like an actual sporing reverb than any stompbox emulator I've heard. And it retails for $130. What can I say but...

Dammit, as if my growing obsession with "soundtrack" style Bass VI playing weren't unhealthy enough. If the ATK in my sig ever sells, I'll probably grab a Hellcat VI, the reverb and bassman, and just hang out in my room writing countless theme songs to spy movies.

Sounds alright. But it doesn't have a chicken on it.

It won't make a noise if you kick it, either.

And that's a disappointment. I want a spring reverb emulator that'll sound like thunder when you smack it!

I wonder if it's as accurate as the SYB-5 video.

I bet I found an even MORE accurate one. It's called a spring.

So has anyone tried this guy yet? $130 for a decent reverb isn't to bad.

Comprehensive soundtrack 'VI playing benefits from the use of both: spring and plate reverb.

I've been using one of these with my MIJ Fender VI since late '97.

I plug the 'VI straight into the NanoVerb and it delivers an utterly gorgeous stereo (or mono) output! (According to its manual, it can even drive a power amp.)

If the BOSS FRV-1 sounds as good for spring reverb as the similarly-priced Alesis NanoVerb does for stereo (and mono) plate reverb etc, then it'll be a killer!
