Well not exactly but im embarking on a project with a drummer friend with a hope to cross the gaps between lightning bolt and earth/sunn type stuff, so droney noisey crazy stuff.
At the moment all i have is a bunch of fuzz pedals and i am thinking i need a good delay pedal, i did have the pigtronix but i foolishly sold it as i was short on money and my equipment has been in storage for the last few months. I dont know whether to get another one of them or either the Line 6 DL4 or the Boss Space Echo or any number of cool delay pedals available.
After that im not too sure, though i have been playing bass for too many years and know quite abit about amplifiers etc im pretty new to pedals, and have never had a pedal board as such.
Im thinking Chorus, Reverb, Looper (16 second delay?).
I dont know, lets just say moneys not an issue at this point, but could anyone suggest some crazy effects.
thanks |

You need things that can oscilate such as the Zoom Ultra Fuzz, Catalinbread V8, Catalinbread Teaser Stallion and the Warp/Twist feature on most of the higher spec boss delays. If you've got these then you can do some pretty fun stuff add some modulation like a trem or phaser and you can tweak it to your hearts content.
Hope this helps

Where when you hold the pedal down, it turns feedback to 100% and then back down to your previous setting when you release it. I know the giga delay does this, I use it a ton with my guitar.
I'll also further those ring mod suggestions, especially if you find one you can use an expression pedal with.
If you really want some messed up sounds though, may i suggest a midi pickup running into some synths?

I do a lot of hold/latch pedal synth stuff, with stepped phasing and flanging on top of that when I want coherent but trippy backgrounds and tone. Also reverse wah stuff using envelope filter and modulation. |

The craziest, coolest flanger and chorus combo ever. Phaser= Pigtronix EP1 envelope phaser. Swooshy and touch sensitive filter mode. Synth= Any good synth pedal for nutty good times. And, check out the MXR Bluebox. It's a two octave down + Fuzz, and it's out of control. Also, maybe a pitch shift to add a little out of tune harmony, well, that's more drunk than on drugs, but you get the idea. Mostly, just check out everything, some combinations are priceless, whilst others are poo.
