I want to mount my pedals in my rack. Any Suggestions???

I have 2 pedals that I use. I am tired of stooping over to make minor adjustments during a gig. I would like them at eye level in my rack so that I can adjust them on the fly.

I could just trade them for rack mounted ones, but I am so used to them that I would rather just mount them in my rack. I remember seeing Jerry Garcias pedals all mounted on a vertical board next to his rack and he just used his hands instead of his feet to turn them on and off.

I have searched the boards but haven't found anything.

Anybody have any ideas? I'm sure I'm not alone.

If it's just 2 pedals, why not put them on top of your amp?

I saw a picture somewhere where a guy had mounted them to one of the lids to his rack and used it as a pedal board. You could to the same and just set it on top like RickenBoogie suggested.

if you need to activate one, you'd have to headbutt it or something...

i had all my pedals in a rack for awhile. Just get a rack drawer! Velcro them on
and a true bypass looper which you can velcro and take off and put on the ground for the gig if you need to take them in and out of the chain with your feet
you never have to hook up any wires, just grab the cable out of the rack and plug it into your bass. It was great, i only stopped because i got too many pedals to fit in the rack

NOW what i'm doing fyi, is getting a medium sized pedalboard, putting a peice of wood that covers approx half of it, putting all my pedals that dont NEED feet (true bypass volume and wah/expression pedals) on it so i can literally lift it up and put it on top of my rack so i can twiddle knobs as i play.
I use a snake to connect everything from the floor to the rack.

just a little something to ad
i had to mod my rack drawer so I could fit the pedals in heightwise
i only left 2 rack spaces however and it JUST fit the moog
leave 2.5-3 for a comfortable fit. unless your just using boss style pedals... they SHOULD fit in 2, depends on your rack drawer

oh, another name is rack shelf... i think mine was a shelf as i didn't need it to be enclosed as i closed my rack

wanna buy my shelf? I dont need it anymore
pm if so as i probably won't check this again

A Raxxess sliding rack drawer. Had one for a few years, worked great.

i was going to build a recessed plank of wood and screw my foot pedals to it using the screw holes already in them so i could put them in my rack. than i realized that my feet are on the ground and 4 feet above it.

if you leave the pedals on at all times i guess you could just stick em in the rack

Mine all fit on a small board (I use an SKB-15 board, but not the power), and it holds 8 pedals comfortably...Theres room for one more if I squeeze the together...

I just sit the board on top of my amp rack most of the time (small venue)...and avtivate/deactivate the pedals with my hands...

I used to use a pedalpad board, but it was just too big for most gigs I was doing...so I downsized a bit...
