They offer a couple different takes on a feedback looper, one of which i own, an Utter Stutter. The name speaks for itself. What a feedback looper does, if you aren't already aware, is it takes the signal from your effects chain, and feeds it back into itself, then taking the resulting signal and outputting it to your amp. The results can get reeeaaally far out, ranging from something as simple as making a delay feedback into infinity on demand, or just incurring an apolocyplse-style eruption o' noise. Granted, it is not its own stand-alone effect pedal, more like a catalyst for the rest of your board. You can even play it like its own instrument; simply by feeding your pedals into it and leaving your instrument unplugged you can attain a noise box with a monosynth-like interface whose sound library is only limited by the pedals you have and your own imagination. Iv'e had a blast with mine thus far, and ive even found a good amount of practicality in it. here's a link to their website's store, within which you can also find demo vids and more detailed specs http://ohnoho.com/store/ granted the model i own is slightly above your price range, however they do offer a few smaller models that i doubt would disappoint. |

I have the SuperEgo and the HOG (which is a bit different and has a few more capabilities the the POG). If you're looking for one versatile pedal to start off with, I would not recommend either of them. They're a bit too specialized.
I would still recommend a synth pedal first like the Boss, Digitech or the Beringer one first, and the Ehx BassBalls second. |

I just had the output too loud when I was playing into my Boss Looper. It drowned everything else out. Was still fun though. I played a chord progression arrpegio style with some delay, looped, then Synth'd some bass notes over it.. Really liking these things now. So far I have OD, Synth, Wah, Delay, and a looper.
I tried the MXR bass envelope, MXR octaver, and the Markbass Synth/Octave. The Boss Synth seemed the most usable and had the most sound options.

And we do giveaways all the time! We are doing one for the Pitchgrinder right now and will likely do another one before XMAS. |

| | | | try out the ehx superego. it's a synth with automatic tracking, latching, and other such modes, crazy trippy glissando, layering, and it sounds somewhere a stringed instrument and a choir. put effects in the loop (chorus sounds pretty) and you'll be happy. |

Roland RE-20 Space Echo: just crank the input level and intensity with oscillations galore as your reward. Awesome with an EBOW run into it.
Tech 21 Red Ripper: awesome little fuzzbox that can lots more, I use it for fuzz, synthy tones, lasers, and its very powerful EQ is last in my dirt/synth/bit crush/ chain as it works very well.
Heet Sounds Plus-EBOW: its a freaking electronic bow, hard to learn but SOOOOOO worth it! Hand controlled volume swells, infinite sustain, and loads more esp when run into whatever your mind can think of.... | +1 on the WMD Geiger Counter! |
