I want an X2. Bad.

And I think I'm getting one.

Problem is, there's not really any on sale on the classifieds and my Craigslist is totally devoid of their digital goodness.

:/

So,
what are the cheapest places you've seen them for sale?

which one are you looking for? The stompbox, medium Plus model, or rack? I have the Plus, but bought the stomp box version today too, as I want an even smaller wireless package. So, there will be a great X2 in the classifieds here, with a custom Pelican hard case, but it's all moot if you want the stompbox. I went ebay. I paid $230 shipped in new condition. You just have to be patient though. Music123.com had a blem on sale for $212.00, plus a $15% discount, taking it down lower, with free shipping no less. So, be patient if saving money is important.

They are great.
Keep looking and if not, save up and get one.

I've had the XDS and the XDS-Plus and they are very nice.
Great tone and super small.
Great price too, compared to other high-quality wireless units.

My X2 sounded better than my $600 Shure unit.

I have the X2-Plus, but picked up the stombox version today for one reason - it's smaller yet. I am on this smaller, smaller, smaller kick and I'm totally loving the results. I now have my entire wireless system in one pocket-camera size case. See pics I included. The case came with a portable Firewire drive from OWC. I never use the case, and it has a separate felt-lined divider/compartment in it that fits the receiver perfectly, then the transmitter, the premium right angle cable, and my custom Planet Waves cable all in it. The only thing not in is the ac adapter that I am picking up. I'm going to get the 1 Spot since it's so small, and if you look in the other photo of the GK amp, you'll see the ac plug sticking out the back waiting for the 1 Spot (which plugs in sideways so it won't hang down, but flat). That now means no power strip to lug around either, one cord only.

The short custom cables for the wireless on left, and tuner on right are the icing on the cake for me. No clutter, no mess.

I must thank TB members for bringing all this light small stuff to my attention. I believe the Mini Rigs of Doom is what blew me away.

I did an A/B test between the X2 stomp and X2-Plus, and I can tell zero differences. Truly amazing.

My local GC has them for $279.99. That's the cheapest I've seen for new in box w/o some sort of discount.

The specs difference between the x2 and plus is range and frequency bandwidth.
So the bandwidth is not noticeable.. but how about the range?

Ill find out Saturday. The stages I play on are not huge, so all I need is about 10 feet. The only freq spec I was concerned with was the lows, and it's got that covered in spades. The battery is supposed to last longer on the 95, and I was pleasantly surprised to see I still get battery monitoring on both parts.
