I just got an AD-9 off the ebay. I'm guessing its a reissue not an original but still amazing.
My only experience with delay was the one on my Boss PS-3. It was cold and digital in every way. This AD-9 is just lush and beautiful.
It is warm, toneful sounding. I can turn it down to a low delay time with a few repeats and my sound is just double and so powerful. I even find single notes with a little string bend to be full of life and huge instead of the weak noise they were before.
I recommend this pedal for anyone wanting to warm up their sound and have a sizable reverb/slap back sound.
