Ibanez Bass Tube Screamer

Looks like Ibanez has actually released a tubescreamer for bass. I'm not really a gear head, but it seems like its got good sound, gritty without losing the low end by including a blend.

Here's the release video showing it off if you want to take a look:

Very interesting. Sounds good. Don't like that it has 5 knobs to complicate settings. Not so easy to get your fingers in there for tweaking. Could live without the 'blend' to make things simpler. Price? Is it worth it? What will Maxon release to compete with this?

I've been waiting awhile for a bass-friendly tubescreamer variant from either Ibanez or Maxon, but found it in a Digitech Hardwire CM2. The CM2 has an additional feature of switchable mids contour. And it's cheap.

Xotic Bass BB is a very good tube screamer variant with no low end loss.
