Ibanez CP9 problem...

Sign in to disble this ad
When the pedal is switched "ON" it works perfectly, but when it's switched "OFF" I get only a very weak signal output. I took it apart and checked the jacks, and according to my very limited knowledge, they looked okay. No loose wires or broken solder joints that I can see, and it does occasionally work properly so I'm thinking it's just a short.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Could be a dry solder joint or a cracked wire. Unfortunately they are very hard to spot, even if you know what you're looking for. Suggest you ask a tech to reflow (re-solder) the joints for you to try and fix the dry joint(s).
