Ibanez DE-7 echo / delay mod for bass I was checking out my pedals after reading a member's page that reviews probably every compression pedal there is. Because of this, I was specifically comparing the bypass with taking the pedal out all together. I found the Ibanez DE-7 in bypass mode (I guess on as well) rolled of a lot of lows. Has anyone else noticed this? It is quite noticable. I also read from that compression review site that you can mod pedals. Does anyone know specifically what I can do for this? |
Although there are a great many frx pedals that reduce the lows, delay pedals are not typically among them. If your DE-7 is actually cutting the lows from your signal, I'd suggest getting another delay. A digital delay puts out exactly what you put in it. I even use an analog MXR delay w/ bass, and have never experienced any loss of low end. |
![]() This look about right? There are input and output capacitors that can often be changed to bring back low end, but that is very much a shot in the dark with no guaranteed result. You could put it in a true-bypass loop, or get a new delay. |
