Ibanez FL9 Flanger

Sign in to disble this ad
Tried a search, can't find any info about this flanger on bass. My board doesn't have any yellow pedals and I keep seeing FL9s come up for sale so I thought I might pick one up - does anybody have any experience with what they sound like on bass?

Is it also the old story of tone-sucking buffers on the older models but true-bypass on the reissues?

had one in for repair some time ago - in my opinion not very enticing for bass. the bypass (one the one i repaired) was the usual buffered ibanez/boss type thingie, not better or worse than any other of those pedals.

cheers,
lowstar

i have one... its my favorite flanger.... it is tunable inside to make self oscillating madness...
this pedal can get you almost all flange flavor out there...

Sounds cool.

I don't think I've seen one on anybody's board in here, glad to find somebody who's got one.

I'm not a big flanger guy, but I've always wondered how close the Ibanez is to the Maxon FL9 which I think is a great flanger. They are both recreations of the old Ibanez flanger right?

Yeah, one of my guitarists has the Maxon FL-9 and it's a nice little pedal.
