Ibanez LU-20 Tuner...Any Users?

I'm in the market for a pedal tuner, and my local shop has some on clearance for $25. My main requirements are visibility and tracking speed. Others I've considered are Turbo Tuner, Pitch Black and Planet waves. I know all these have excellent tracking speed, but if the LU-20 can get close, I'll try it for the price.

I have one and it's fine. Nice, big easy to see display. Accurate to my ears and tracks fine too and has a dry and a mutable output. In terms of function, I can't fault it.

However, due to it's form factor, I' thinking about changing it to something more 'boss shaped' (that polytune is looking very tempting!). so it doesn't take up so much width on my meager pedal board.

I should have added. The only thing that 'may' be an issue is the battery compartment access is via a large flat head screw. A coin or guitar pick fits in the slot to undo/tighten just fine. But if you're on battery power, it's worth mentioning.

It's a constant wonder why pedal manufacturers make battery power an option for those odd gigs where front of stage mains power is not available, but make it so difficult to change batteries. And as for 9v clips, they really should have gone the way of the ark by now.

I've got one. It's a good tuner. Pretty accurate, reasonably easy to see.

Pros
-accurate
-cheap
-easy to read in the dark

Cons
-fairly slow compared to higher end stuff
-hard to read in bright light (daylight)

I had a few outdoor gigs with it and was not super pleased with the performance. I've since switched to a TC Polytune, which is far superior, but also cost over twice as much.

I've moved my Ibanez to the practice studio and it lives there full time, and gets a lot of use.

I do indeed. It's a solid tuner for the money, but it's not quite in the same league as the others you mentioned. It's accurate and it tracks down to an E quickly, and down to a B with a bit of a pause. The visibility of the display is decent, but if you're tuning to half-steps (say, down to D#), the "#" indicator is teeny and hard to see without really focusing. Also, it tends to not quite engage some times when you step on it.

One more totally minor gripe is that it is set up horizontally, which eats up a LOT more room than if they had set it up vertically. Minor problem, but it's kind of annoying trying to fit it on a board.

Overall, though, it's a good tuner for $40, and for $25, it's a steal.

Just bought it.

Been looking for awhile for an inexpensive pedal tuner. This one fit the bill perfectly and after plugging it in and trying it out I am really impressed with it. Action on the pedal feels solid. The display is large and clear. A great tuner for the money ($30 at Guitar Center minus the power adapter).
