| Ibanez PD-7 Phat Hed Attack mode settings

Hi everyone. I've had this pedal for a while, and liked it although it never set my world on fire. The distortion, while being very thick and maintaining all the bottom end you would need, took over all the tone and lost a lot of definition for me. OK for fuzz and distortion, not for overdrive.
Now...
I had never really fiddled with the Attack mode settings - mostly cause they get bagged, and also when I had before they sound like they suck a lot of the mids out.
To add to this for a long time I have trying to achieve a sound similar to Bill Gould on the FNM album the Real Thing - a much covered topic. It's a sound to me that is fairly unique - it's very precise and punchy, but the notes have a chunky overdriven attack and smooth, warm decay.
Long story short I have come up with a sound very similar (whilst being a tad different to be my own!).
They way I am achieving this is to run my Aria Integra (passive Bart humbuckers) in the PD-7 (Distortion mode, Attack mode 1, drive - off, Bass - 3 oclock, Treble - 9 oclock, Level to taste. Then to add a little thickness and mids back in I am running this into a Monte Allum modded Boss SD-1 (TS808 mod with increased lows) - Level - 12 oclock, Tone at lowest setting, Drive at about 7 oclock.
I like the sound. Hope it will sit well with a band.
Now to my question. Anyone with knowledge of this pedal - what possible EQ settings would give you the same result as the Attack modes? Are they fairly heavy handed mid cuts?
Or does anyone know how to contact Ibanez to ask this question?
I will be in the possession of an HBE Hematoma this week as well so that may take the place of the Boss, or it may just add another dimension
