Not many hits here on TB, and most (if not all) of the HC reviews are by guitarists. Anybody had first hand experience with either of these units? Opportunity knocks, and I'd dig the 405 in particular.

I've owned both, and they're awesome. Now, there are weaknesses: the compressor is noisy, the OD loses low end just like its pedal version, and the system overall is not exactly "high fidelity". But the tones are fat, fat, fat, and the form factor is great if you like to tweak knobs while you play.

Cheers mate - your opinions on fx are highly valued

I'd be aiming to build a little hi-pass looper to go with this, so I'm not overly worried about low end loss. I've gathered a bit of old-school gear so far, I like to rescue things.
