Ibanez Wh 10 problems

Hi there gals and guys!

I'm having some thoughts about my Wah-pedal.
It's an Ibanez Wh 10 (the old one) and I really love the face-tearing sweeps this pedal offers.

As you who are familiar with this pedal know it gives quite a gain-boost when the effect is activated and suck pretty much tone when it's off.

The gain-boost is something i can live with but the tone-sucking is driving me a tiny bit mad.

I've tried solving the problem by putting the wah before my Mxr M80 (Distorsion always on) in the effect-chain and the results were no tone-sucking and no gain-boost but i lost those broad nice sweeps.

I've considered building a bypass-switch and put the wha in its own loop but that would make the using of the wah harder and slower. Also considered installing true-bypass but have been told it will alternate the original sound.

Any thoughts on how to solve this problem? All help is appreciated!

Boss made a by pass power supply combo a few years back that might work well.

Do you know what it's called?

In a moment of lucidity they named it the PSM-5 Power Supply and Master Switch.

The one's I've seen were MIJ.

Ironically you need a Boss type 9 v supply to power them.
