This is a pedal I haven't seen addressed much on this forum. Has anyone tried it? I like the way it sounds on guitar but can't find anything with it on bass. It does have a bass setting, and seems to have a darker sound than the original anyway from guitar clips.

In case it piques anyone's interest, here's a clip of Wilson wah's clone of the original wh10 on bass.

Here's a video comparing the wilson clone to the reissue. The reissue sounds bassier to me.

So I actually got a chance to try this out yesterday at guitar center. On the bass setting, it actually had a really nice sound to it. More pronounced than my 105q crybaby. The bottom of the frequency range is supposed to be about 175 in this setting, so I could see myself using it at heel down position for a deep but cutting sound. The switch couldn't actually physically be used unless you bent over and activated it by hand, but there was also a rubber piece in the way that could be easily removed. The bypass didn't seem spectacular, but I've seen one modified for true bypass and it's a fairly easy mod to do. This also fixed the not being able to trigger the switch issue. A true bypass looper would work too. I only got to try it clean, but based on guitar demos it should sound great after fuzz or distortion.

Thanks for posting this. I've been paying a little bit of attention to this pedal as I was a Frusciante fanatic in high-school, but I don't really play guitar any more so it's only a waning interest. Maybe I can convince myself its for bass too...

Haha yeah. Frusciante's pretty much the only reason I looked into this pedal. But it seems to hold the low end fairly well, have a nice sound to it, and actually be significantly shorter than most wahs at only 20 centimeters long. That puts it at maybe 7 inches as opposed to a crybaby's 10 or so? I think it could be a viable option for a lot of people on this board who are looking for a relatively cheap and small wah.
