Yikes!
Thanks for the heads up. I'll never use them.
Sorry it had to cost you $80 and an awesome pedal to warn the rest of us.

It was originally going to be volume pot bypass, both effects wired together in series accessible by the top switch, and a green LED installed. What I received was apparently a master killswitch with a green LED.

i learned this lesson the hard way...if you haven't given them a chance to respond, you might find yourself having to take it all back if it was an honest mistake and they rectify it. that happened with me on here with www.pedaldoctor.com , whom i now highly recommend

Interesting. I know that past reports of FX doctor here have centered around the propensity for his 8-bit fuzz to break pretty consistently. I guess the build quality issue is for real ...

He told me that he tested it thoroughly before he shipped it out and it functioned flawlessly, however, I can't get a peep out of it.

I've read many complaints about his pedals breaking, so I bet he just doesn't know how to solder properly (though of course he thinks he does) and he doesn't know how to run wires for stress relief.

Considering the pedal is now acting like a kill switch, that is very likely a symptom of a wire breaking loose inside... a wire that was not soldered properly.

Highly unlikely, but ever tried switching input and output? Like, make the input go into the output of the pedal and vice versa?

Wouldn't be the first time I heard of that. Unlikely this is it, but maybe, just maybe. Read about some soldering hackjobs here on TB and it was basically the same problem - here's hoping it's just that.

Hope you get that pedal fixed, man.

Maybe it's time to look under the hood yourself; bust out the soldering iron and see if you can fix it yourself.
